Ricky P. Eastlick
Ricky Paul Eastlick, age 48, of
Potosi, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014, as the result of an
automobile accident. He was born August 29, 1966, the son of Gerald and
Margaret (Oyen) Eastlick. Rick attended Potosi High School. He was a Chicago
Cubs fan, and a member of the Happy Clovers 4 H club. Rick was employed as
a mason, bricklayer, and most recently, operating an excavating business. He
enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on the family farm. Rick dearly loved
spending time with his son Jacob, and attending all of his activities.
Survivors include his parents Gerald and Margaret
Eastlick, his son, Jacob, and his mother, Linda Orr, a sister, Wendy S.
Reuter, his niece and goddaughter, Paige (Tyler Clauer) Reuter and their
son, Ryder Clauer, a nephew, Preston Reuter, and many aunts, uncles, and
cousins.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 5,
2014 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Tennyson with Father
Richard Leffler officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Family
and friends called on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00
p.m. at St. Andrews Catholic Church, and on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until
time of services. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Rick Eastlick memorial
fund has been established. The Martin Funeral Home and Cremation Service of
Potosi is assisting the family.

Robert Eck
Robert A. "Bob" Eck will be fishing in
heaven from now on. He passed away peacefully after a long hard battle on
Friday, February 17, 2017. He was born on April 4, 1937, to Ray and Bernice
Eck in Waterloo Township. Robert was a workaholic but always made time for
his family, playing cards, hunting, and fishing. After serving four years in
the Air Force he worked in petroleum distribution and farming. Bob was a 30
year veteran on the Lancaster Fire Department. He served on many committees
for the First Presbyterian Church where he has been member for nearly 60
years. Bob was also a member of the Mississippi Valley
I.O.O.F. Lodge #86 and the Richard Burns American Legion Post No. 109 of
Lancaster.
Robert is survived by his wife of 59 1/2 years Phyllis
(Nickel), daughters: Angela (David) Dunn of Neenah and Christine (Brian)
Corell of Lancaster; grandchildren, Matt Dunn (fianc Jackie Kamps) Erin
Dunn, Kessa (Brandon) Klaas, Johanah (William) Hood, Brian Corell, Megan
(Nick) Sommers, Jimmy Eck, and great-grandchildren: Kesandra, Kyla, Kaci,
and Bentli Klaas. Bob is further survived by sisters: LaVon (Albert) Miller
and Betty (Paul) Pluemer and brother, Roger (Shirley) Eck; sisters-in-law:
Dorothea Eck, Kay Eck, Doris Eck, Donna (Phil) Nickson; brothers-in-law: La
Vern Nickel and Carson Clifton; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jim Eck, his
parents; siblings: Stanley, Virgil, Clayton Eck and Vivian Alcott; in-laws:
Sylvia and Arlie Nickel; sisters-in-law: Arlene Clifton and MaryAlyce
Nickel; brother-in-law, John Alcott, and many dear friends and fishing
buddies.
Memorial services along with military honors will be held
on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church
in Lancaster with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Burial
will be at a later date. Family and friends may call on
Sunday from 12:00 noon until time of services at the church.

David G. Eckstein, age 58, of Cassville, died on
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Eckstein, Cassville; his two sons: Jason (Toni) Eckstein, Dubuque, IA; Jamie Eckstein, Dubuque, IA; his mother, June Eckstein, Cassville; three step-children: Christopher (Nicki) Koehler, River Falls; Amy (Fianc Clint Bean) Koehler and Diana Koehler both of Cassville; eight grandchildren; his sister, Bonnie (Gary) Kasper, Cassville; and a niece, Brandi (Todd) Thiesen, Cassville.
In addition to his father, David was preceded in death by a nephew, Jason Kasper.

Kathryn A. Eckstein
Kathryn "Kay" A. Eckstein, age
90, of Paducah, KY, formerly of Cassville, WI, passed away on Monday, June
19, 2017, at her home in Paducah. She was born on March 10, 1927, in
Chicago, IL, the daughter of Marie and Joseph Hendrick. Kay attended
St. Scholastica Academy and furthered her education at Marquette University,
where she earned a degree in English. It was there that she met Ray
Eckstein and they were united in marriage on June 26,1948. In 1949 the
couple moved to Cassville and raised their family.
Kay enjoyed the river and spending time with her
family. She also enjoyed playing cards, socializing and wintering in
Boca Raton. Charitable giving has become a rewarding endeavor for Kay and
Ray. They created the Ray and Kay Eckstein Charitable Trust to partner
with charities serving human needs and families, providing faith based
initiatives, supporting educational endeavors, and sustaining vibrant
communities.

Eckstein, Paducah, KY; their children: Joanne Eckstein DelDotto,
Chattanooga, TN; Randy Eckstein, New Orleans, LA; Sue Homra, Paducah, KY;
Cindy (Erickson) Zaninovich, Paducah, KY; Teresa Eckstein, Paducah, KY; Joe
Eckstein, Jacksonville, FL; John Eckstein, Paducah, KY; 28 grandchildren; 30
great-grandchildren and four in God's pocket.
In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in
death by a daughter, Mary Kay Eckstein; two brothers: Jeff and Joseph
Hendrick.

Saturday, June 24, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic
Church in Cassville with Father John Meinholz officiating. Burial was in St. Charles Cemetery, Cassville. Family and friends called on
Saturday from 11:30 until time of services at the church. In lieu of
plants and flowers, the family requests memorials be given to St. Charles

Mary M. Eckstein
Mary M. Eckstein, age 89, of
Cassville, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at her home.
She was born on January 26, 1928, the daughter of Raymond "Penny" J.
and Myra M. (Lindner) Eckstein. Mary graduated from
Cassville High School and furthered her education at Marquette University in
Milwaukee, earning a degree in Education. Upon
graduation, she was employed at Whitewater University as a
teacher/librarian. Mary was a lifelong member of St.
Charles Catholic Church in Cassville. She enjoyed biking,
swimming, collecting, and playing the slot machines.
Mary is survived by her loving brother, Ray Eckstein
and his wife, Kay, Paducah, KY; nieces and nephews: Joanne Eckstein Doldatto,
Chattanooga, TN; Randy Eckstein, New Orleans, LA; Sue Homra, Paducah, KY;
Cindy (Erickson) Zaninovich, Paducah, KY; Teresa Eckstein, Paducah, KY; Joe
Eckstein, Jacksonville, FL; John Eckstein, Paducah, KY.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death
by a niece, Mary Kay Eckstein.

March 9, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville with

Charles Cemetery, Cassville. Family and friends called

Carmella Eddy
Carmella A. Eddy, age 98, passed away
peacefully Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Williams Bay.
She was born August 27, 1917, in Mineral Point, one of ten
children to Italian immigrants Joseph and Victoria (Bertucci) Filardo.
Carmella proudly carried her Italian heritage with her always.
After high school, she attended Spenserian Business College in Milwaukee.
Carmella married Donald L. Eddy on June 28, 1941, at St. Paul's Catholic
Church in Mineral Point. She was employed as the
administrative assistant to the superintendent of the Lancaster school district.
Carmella was a devoted member of St. Clement Catholic Church for over 70
years. She enjoyed time at the cabin in Cassville, her
card club, walking, reading, and the Green Bay Packers. Don
and Carmella were Lancaster Circulation Managers for the

Brookfield, James Eddy in Lake Geneva; two daughters: Kathleen (Paul) Yih in
Williams Bay, and Mary (Frank) Winingham in Delavan; 5 grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Carmella was preceded in death
by her husband, Donald of 67 years; and a grandson, Anthony; her siblings:
Frank, Nick, Roseland, Mary, Katherine, Joseph and Bruno.

September 22, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church with Father
William Seipp and Father Herbert Schmidt officiating. Burial
was in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends

Carl M. Edge
Carl M. Edge, age 97, of Lancaster,
passed away Friday, October 31, 2014, at the Lancaster Care Center. He was
born December 30, 1916, the son of Joseph and Amelia Etta (Spease) Edge.
Carl was drafted in the U. S. Army from 1941 to 1945, during the American
Theatre in World War II. He guarded the area of Peugeot Sound, WA and later
served in Germany. On April 27, 1948, Carl married Eva R. (Vesperman)
McKinstry at the Presbyterian parsonage in Lancaster. Together they farmed
for over 54 years in Ellenboro Township. Carl was a member of Grant County
Cattlemen Association, West Grant Saddle Club, Busy Badgers 4H Club, VFW
Post 2344, Bethlehem E & R Church, and a lifetime member of Farm Bureau. He
enjoyed his card playing at Zippys Brass Rail. Carl loved his family dearly
and keeping up with their activities.
Surviving is his daughter, Karla (Joe) Schwantes, his
step-daughter, Karen (Ernest) Noble, nine grandchildren, eighteen
great-grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren, a sister-in-law,
Bethel Edge, a brother-in-law, Jerry (Kathryn) Vesperman, and many nieces
and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56
years, Eva, a step-son, Dennis McKinstry, two brothers, Ray (Clara) and Paul
Edge, three brothers-in-law, Ivan (Marcella), Paul (Lois), and Delbert
Vesperman.
Funeral services were held on Friday, November 7,
2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Bethlehem E & R Church in Lancaster, with Rev. Mark
Dieter officiating. Burial with military honors was in Hillside
Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends called on Thursday, November 6,
2014, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation
Services in Lancaster and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at
the church.
Charles Edge
Charles L. Edge, age 71, of Lancaster, passed away on
Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster.
He was born on January 12, 1943, in Platteville, the son of Gerald
and Loretta (McPhail) Edge. Charles attended Platteville
Schools. He worked for local farmers and lived and worked
in Rockford, IL, for several years. Charles later went to
Washington and Colorado before moving to Lancaster where he painted and
restored old homes. Charles enjoyed having coffee with
friends, playing cards, gambling, fishing and camping.
Survivors include his son, Clinton (Sara Vicencio)
Edge; three grandchildren: Xavier, Gabrielle, and Camryn; his siblings:
Geraldine (Richard) Kuhls; Irene (Gene) Clark; Grant (Mary Lou) Edge;
and Carolyn Kane.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in
death by a son, Chuck Edge and his sisters, Georgina Drew and Lynn Lawrence.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 9,
2014, at Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lancaster at 1:00
p.m. with Reverend Pamela Strakeljahn officiating. Burial
was in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and
friends called on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the
funeral homes.
David & Joan Edge
David R. Edge, age 59 and
Joan M. Edge, age 59, passed away on Wednesday, August 28,
2013, as a result of a motorcycle accident. David
was born on March 25, 1954, the son of Ray and Clara (Scott) Edge.
Joan was born on December 14, 1953, the daughter of Joseph
and Mamie (Udelhoven) Dressler. On June 28, 1974,
they were united in marriage in Lancaster.
Together they farmed and raised their family in Potosi Township.
Dave and Joan enjoyed the trips they had on their motorcycle. David
liked hunting, and Joan liked to play cards and garden. Time spent
with their children and grandchildren was most important.

Lawrence) Edge; Jennifer (Shawn) Foley; 14 grandchildren; Davids

Joan is preceded in death by two sisters: Virginia
(Bill) Brockway; Theresa (Carl) Martin; her brothers-in-law:
Peter Moris and Edward Simpson. David is preceded in death by
two brothers-in law: Russell Wamsley and Bob
Udelhoven, and a nephew Doug Maring.

2013, at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Tennyson at 10:30 a.m. with
Reverend Pamela Strakeljahn officiating. Burial
was in Hurricane Cemetery, S. Lancaster Township.

George H. Edge
George H. Edge, age 85, of Lancaster,
passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Lancaster Care Center,
surrounded by his family. He was born September 19, 1928 the son of Francis
and Lela (Bennett) Edge. George married Betty J. Novinski September 19, 1950
at the Lancaster United Methodist parsonage. Together they farmed on the
Edge family farm in Little Grant Township. George was a member of the
Independent Order of Odd Fellows Mississippi Valley Lodge #86 and the
Lancaster United Methodist Church. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Betty,
playing cards and fishing.
Surviving is his loving wife of almost 64 years, Betty;
two daughters Dianne (Charlie) Rice, Debbie (Garry) Raymond, two daughter in
laws; Rhonda (Jim) Kitelinger and Jackie Edge, 9 grandchildren, 18 great
grandchildren, two sisters; Mercedes Mumm and Velma
Wetter.
George was preceded in death by two sons; Roger and
Darrell, a granddaughter Kelly Edge, two sisters; Marion Leifer and Aleise
(Stanley) Wetter, two brother in laws; William Mumm and Donald Wetter.
Funeral services were held on Monday, September 8,
2014 at 9:00 a.m. at the Lancaster United Methodist Church, with Pastor Barb
Cook officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery. Friends called on
Sunday, September 7, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Lancaster
United Methodist Church, and on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until time of
services. The Schwartz Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Lancaster is
in charge of arrangements. In lieu of plants and flowers, a George H. Edge
memorial fund has been established.
Harlan Eggers
Harlan L. Eggers, age75, of
Potosi, passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 30, 2017, after a long
battle with cancer.
He was born September 6, 1941, in Rockville, WI
to LaVern & Frances Eggers. He married Jane Durni on July 13, 1963.
Harlan retired from John Deere Dubuque Works, where he worked 30 years.
In addition, he worked part-time in law enforcement as a Grant County
Sheriff's Deputy, police officer for Cassville & Potosi Villages and was
appointed as Chief of Police for the Village of Tennyson. He also
worked for Milprint, Inc. in Lancaster. Harlan was a member of the
Potosi Masonic Lodge and served his country in the 32nd Division of the Army
National Guard. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting &
fishing and was a Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed playing cards and
going to the casino. Harlan especially loved spending time with his family &
friends and spoiling his grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jane, and his
two children: Sheila (Mike) Schwarz, Janesville, WI and Chad (Julie) Eggers,
Potosi, WI; nine grandchildren: Nicole Youngblut, Milwaukee, WI, Erica
Collins, Boscobel, WI, Brandon (Alyssa), Austin, Carter and Hunter Schwarz,
Rachel, (Mike) Edmonds, Randy Reynolds, & Robin (Dale) James; eleven
great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; sisters-in-law, nieces,
nephews and many cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, LaVern in
1992, his sister, Joyce 2003 and his father & mother-in-law, Fran & Gladys (Tootie)
Durni in 1980.
Masonic and funeral services were held on
Saturday, April 8, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home &
Crematory, 144 N Main, Potosi, with Reverend Mary Ann Floerke officiating.
Burial with military honors were accorded in Van Buren Cemetery, Potosi.
Family and friends called on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of
services at the funeral home.
The family expresses their sincere
appreciation for the care Harlan received from the staff at St. Croix
Hospice. Thanks also, to the many friends & family who called & visited
to make his days brighter.
